Craft design
Craft design comprises creative processes and services in the craft . This includes the design skills in the individual trades and services such as B. Communication design , marketing or arts and crafts qualifications.
history
Craft design is part of the tradition of the arts and crafts schools , Bauhaus and craft art schools . After the art schools were integrated into the technical colleges in the 1970s, the craft was lacking a corresponding training course. This led to the establishment of academies for design in the craft in the 1980s .
education
In 2012, 12 craft institutions are offering training courses for craft designers , designers in the craft trades or project designers . Entry requirement is a completed apprenticeship. In some cases, combined courses with simultaneous master craftsman training are offered. The standard duration of study is three to six semesters full-time, some part-time (extra-occupational).
