Hanna Sperling

Hanna Sperling (* 1952 in Tel Aviv ) is a German doctor and chairwoman of the regional association of Jewish communities in Westphalia-Lippe .

Life

Hanna Sperling was born in Israel and has lived in Germany since 1956. She attended elementary school from 1958 to 1962 and high school from 1962 to high school in 1971. Between 1972 and 1974 she completed an apprenticeship as a pharmaceutical-technical assistant in Dortmund . From 1976 to 1979 he studied medicine at the Ruhr University in Bochum .

In 1985 she and her husband moved from Münster to Dortmund. There she has been working on a voluntary basis on the board of the Jewish community since 1988. In 1994 she was elected chairman of the regional association of Jewish communities in Westphalia-Lippe and at the same time became a member of the board of directors of the Central Council of Jews in Germany . Since 2003 she has been a member of the Presidium of the Central Council.

From 1987 to 2001 she was a board member of the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation and from 1990 to 1995 board member of the Central Welfare Office for Jews in Germany . Since 1999 she has been chairwoman of the Foundation for Jewish Communities in Westphalia-Lippe and since 2000 a member of the board of the Jewish Community Fund.

In the media sector, she was a member of the RTL program committee from 1994 to 2006 . She has been a member of the WDR Broadcasting Council since August 8, 2006 .
