biography

Roger Creager, born in the USA in 1971, decided at the age of six to devote himself to country music . He started playing the piano in the second grade, and in high school he also started playing guitar . Too shy to seriously pursue a musical career, Creager attended college in the years that followed. It was not until he was 26 that he appeared regularly in front of an audience, but initially worked as an accountant in Houston , Texas. He later moved to College Station , then to Nashville , Tennessee . There he initially played the piano in a cover band until his partner Justin Pollard finally became drummer Pat Greens .

His first album release came in 1998. Justin Pollard was a drummer on Creager's debut album Having Fun All Wrong , as was Red Dirt producer Lloyd Maines . Two years later, Creager's second album, I Got the Guns, was released . The singer released his first CDs himself before being re-released by Dualtone Records some time later . In 2001 he won the Texas Music Award as Entertainer of the Year , and I Got the Guns rose to number 1 on the Lone Star Music Charts. With his third work Long Way to Mexico , published in September 2003, Creager also made it into the genre charts for the first time during his career. He has succeeded in doing this three more times to date, with his two most recently released albums Here It Is (2008) and Surrender (2012) being the most successful with 39th place in the country charts and top 10 placements in the Top Heatseekers Charts were. Roger Creager also sees himself as an adventurer, as he climbed Kilimanjaro in Africa in the summer of 2006 .
