Ulf Hannerz
Ulf Hannerz (born June 9, 1942 in Malmö ) is a Swedish social anthropologist .
Ulf Hannerz was a professor at Stockholm University and is one of the leading theorists in modern cultural anthropology . His works Cultural Complexity - Studies in the Social Organization of Meaning (New York 1992) and Transnational Connections - Culture, People, Places (London 1996) are among the classics of creolization theory .
In 1994 Hannerz was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
