Hannes Biechteler

Hannes Biechteler (born May 12, 1956 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) is a German commentator and moderator for motorsport .

Career

Biechteler was born in the city of Kempten. His love for motorsport arose in his childhood, as an annual invitation speedway race was held in Kempten's local Illerstadion . From 1978 to 1984 he studied communications, theater, music, art history and politics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

After completing his studies, he started as a presenter for a private local radio station in Kempten in the mid-1980s. He later worked for a news channel in the Eifel . He spent his free time at the Nürburgring . In 1997 he switched from radio to television to DSF . After a crisis at the television station, he worked as a track announcer, chief spokesman for the Rallye Deutschland and moderated events that had nothing to do with motorsport. In 2010 he found his way back to DSF, today Sport1, via the stations MotorsTV , Easy TV and Premiere . Today he comments on the Speedway World Cup , theInternational GT Open and the European F3 Open on Sport1 +.
