Russell Jonathan Leetch (born March 4, 1982 in Knowle, near Solihull , Great Britain ) is a British musician and bassist for the indie band Editors .

Live and act

Leetch studied music technology at Staffordshire University in Stafford , where he met the other founding members of the Editors. His preferred instruments were initially the piano and guitar . During his studies he worked in a call center with his bandmate Tom Smith . After graduating in autumn 2003, the band moved to Birmingham as a whole . Especially at the beginning, Leetch is said to have had a strong influence on the direction of the band as a bassist.

Russell Leetch lived temporarily in New York , but returned to England.

Leetch directed the Editors video for the single "Bones" (2008) and in the same year made a remix of The Hives single "We Rule The World (THEHIVES)". In April 2011, Leetch ran the London Marathon with Tom Smith of the Editors , raising 5,465 British pounds for the benefit of the Oxfam charity .
