Hannes Derfler

Hannes Derfler (born November 14, 1963 in Melk ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Derfler has been the district chairman of the 20th district of Brigittenau in Vienna since 2008 .

Life

After an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk, Derfler worked for the Schillinger textile industry. As a result, he switched to a property management company and then worked for the Hermann Schmidt GmbH real estate firm. After Derfler had been employed at Süd-Ost Informationstechnik-Computerfachhandel, he joined Fernwärme Wien GmbH, for which he worked as a customer advisor in the field from 1996.

Derfler was politically active initially as an education officer in section 6 of the SPÖ district organization Brigittenau and in 1995 took over the management of section 6. He finally rose to the position of deputy district chairman and on March 17, 2004, took over the office of deputy district chairman. On March 31, 2008 Derfler was elected as the successor to Karl Lacina as the district chairman of Brigittenau.

Derfler is married and has two daughters and a stepson.
