Hannes Seifert

Hannes Seifert (* 1971 ) is an Austrian game developer , musician and producer. He is considered one of the most influential people in the Austrian game developer scene and has worked on more than 25 games since 1987.

He was already working as a game musician in the early 1990s, including composing pieces of music for the games 1869 - Hart am Wind and Burntime by Max Design . In 1993 he founded the neo Software development studio together with Niki Laber and Peter Baustädter . The new company's first project was Whale's Voyage , released in 1993 . neo Software also developed the Amiga cult game Der Clou! or the first part of the strategy game series Die Völker .

In 2001 neo Software was taken over by Take 2 and renamed Rockstar Vienna two years later .

At Rockstar Vienna, Hannes Seifert worked on many Rockstar Games games , including as Executive Producer on the Xbox versions of GTA III and GTA: Vice City and as Senior Producer on the Xbox and PS2 versions of Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

At the beginning of 2006 Rockstar Vienna was closed. Hannes Seifert then founded the Games That Matter studio together with Niki Laber, which was bought by the German game publisher Deep Silver in 2007 and then renamed Deep Silver Vienna. At the end of 2009, Deep Silver Vienna released Cursed Mountain, its first game for Wii . Seifert left Deep Silver in late January 2010 to work at Square Enix as Production Director for IO Interactive . In the same month Koch Media announced that it would close Deep Silver Vienna on January 31, 2010. In June 2013 Seifert was appointed Studio Head of IO Interactive. In March 2017, Seifert moved to Riot Games, where he took on the role of Country Manager for the German-speaking area.
