Hannig (Vladiken)

Hannig is the family name of a Bohemian Vladiken family . It goes back to the Hannigburg in Lampersdorf in the later district of Frankenstein . The name is a West Slavic translation of the Hebrew given name John and means God is gracious . The primogeniture , which came from the countries of the crown of Bohemia , was qualified as barons in Electoral Saxony and expired in 1735 in the male line.
