Another cage full of fools (original title: La Cage aux Folles II ) is an Italian-French comedy from 1980 and is the sequel to the successful film A cage full of fools .
action
Albin aka Zaza is still the star in his partner Renato's nightclub . He doesn't want Zaza to take on too much and asks him to take a step back and not take on a role in which he is supposed to embody Marlene Dietrich . Zaza is offended and feels devalued. In order to show himself and Renato that he is still attractive, he visits a street café and runs into an agent on the run who then kidnaps him. The opposing agent ring is hot on the heels of the defector and pursues him, whereupon he and Zaza take refuge in an hour hotel . There the agent puts a microfilm into Zaza's dress before he is shot. Renato now wants Albin to stop appearing as a woman, as the newspapers report on an unknown red-haired woman.
Both agent rings are now looking for the microfilm that Zaza carries with him unnoticed and that later finds itself in his pill box. They seek help from Renato's son's father-in-law, Simon Charrier, the Conservative MP who is also known from the first part. He doesn't want anything to do with either of them. The agent ring around Broca uses Zaza as a decoy to dig out the enemy agent ring. After an initial cooperation, in which Zaza found herself in a cream cake on the occasion of a birthday and met MP Charrier again, Albin and Renato eventually got fed up and took refuge with Renato's mother in Italy. Albin is no longer supposed to play the man disguised as a woman, but a woman disguised as a man. Both agent rings follow the bizarre couple to Italy. Zaza is kidnapped, but then the microfilm is found and the enemy agent ring can be excavated.
