Hannity is an American political talk show on Fox News Channel and hosted by Sean Hannity , which has been produced and broadcast since January 12, 2009. It replaced the formats Hannity's America and Hannity & Colmes .

On November 24, 2008 it was announced that Alan Colmes would leave the Hannity & Colmes show, which was co-moderated with Sean Hannity, at the end of the year. On December 11, 2008, Fox News announced that Sean Hannity would take over the broadcasting slot with his own program called Hannity , which conceptually corresponds to his previously parallel program Hannity's America .

The format of the program provides for an opening monologue in which Hannity presents his opinion on current issues of politics and current affairs. After a discussion in the panel , further monologues, interviews or panels follow. In terms of content, the program is shaped by the conservative attitude of Hannity, who is considered a confidante of Donald Trump .

The first guest of the program Hannity was the former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives , Newt Gingrich .

Hannity competes with The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC and Cuomo Prime Time on CNN .

In the past, Jeanine Pirro has often acted as an absentee substitute for Sean Hannity .
