Hanns-Lüdecke Rodewald

Hanns-Lüdecke Rodewald (* 1954 or 1955) is a German mechanical and vehicle technology engineer and lecturer at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences .

biography

Hanns-Lüdecke Rodewald studied mechanical engineering and vehicle technology at the TU Berlin . In 1984 he completed his studies with a diploma examination.

Professional background

After completing his studies, Rodewald worked for IAV GmbH Ingenieurgesellschaft Auto und Verkehr. The focus there was on innovative drive concepts and vehicle safety. As a project manager in the safety department, he carried out several years of fundamental research on the subject of "airbags" from the point of view of side impact protection and cost reduction in series production conditions as well as the behavior of air generators. In the field of engine technology, Rodewald coordinated fundamental investigations into the functioning of pump-nozzle high-pressure injection systems for small diesel engines .

In 1994 Rodewald took on a teaching position for the subject of traffic safety / traffic accident analysis at the FHTW Berlin . In 1995 he was appointed professor for vehicle technology in Faculty 2 of the FHTW Berlin (today: HTW Berlin ). There he teaches in the areas of combustion engines and vehicle safety and is head of the vehicle technology laboratory complex . His lecture areas are: Combustion Engines I-III, Laboratory Combustion Engines and Vehicle Safety.

Trivia

Rodewald is also known for his longevity study on an Opel Olympia Rekord vehicle (built in 1956), in which he tries to determine how long a vehicle remains roadworthy and roadworthy if only the most necessary repairs are carried out.
