Hans-Jürgen Kliemank

Hans-Jürgen Kliemank (born May 7, 1949 ) was a football player in the GDR upper league . In the top division of the GDR Football Association , Kliemank played for the BSG Wismut Gera .

Kliemank began his football career with the agricultural company sports community (BSG) Traktor Gottleubatal near Dresden . At the age of 16, he joined the BSG Wismut Gera in 1965 and completed an apprenticeship as a geology specialist. After he had gone through the compulsory youth teams he played with the men's team in the second-rate GDR league . In May 1970 he was called up for 18 months of military service. 1976/77 Kliemank belonged to the Wismut team, which had achieved promotion to the league. The 1.73 m tall defender was one of the main forces with 26 championship and promotion games.

In the league season 1977/78 Kliemank played in 21 of 26 played point games as a full-back. He could not prevent that Wismut Gera had to accept the most goals of all 14 league clubs with 75 goals and had to relegate after a year with 21 defeats and only one win. Kliemank then played another season with bismuth in the GDR league.

After missing the promotion with third place, Kliemank moved to the 1979/80 season for East German league promoted Landbau Bad Langensalza . There he was initially able to help secure relegation, but had to accept relegation a year later. At the age of 32, Kliemank made another change and played one season in the GDR league for BSG Stahl Silbitz from the summer of 1981 , after which he ended his career as a football player with Silbitz in the third-rate district league .
