Hans-Jürgen Mellentin

Hans-Jürgen Mellentin (born June 26, 1934 in Lehrte ; † January 17, 1996 in Peine ) was a German politician of the CDU and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

Mellentin attended elementary school and then did an apprenticeship as a precision mechanic. After the journeyman's examination, he worked as a miner underground. From 1959 he was a professional firefighter in the Continental plant fire department . Since 1967 he worked as a caretaker at the elementary and secondary school in Lehrte. He was married and had five children.

politics

Mellentin had been a member of the CDU since 1967. He was chairman of the CDU-Stadtverband Lehrte and a member of the district executive committee of the CDU. Since 1981 he has been a councilor and chairman of the CDU council group of the city of Lehrte, and since 1972 a member of the district council of the Hanover district.

He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 9th and 10th electoral periods from June 21, 1978 to June 20, 1986.
