Hans-Joachim Wilms

Hans-Joachim Wilms (born May 31, 1955 in Ratzeburg ) was the last chairman of the horticultural, agricultural and forestry union (GGLF) in the DGB and is currently a member of the board of the IG Bauen-Agrar-Umwelt (vice chairman) and a member of the European economy - and social committee .

Life

After finishing elementary / secondary school in 1972, Wilms completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk at Stadtwerke Ratzeburg until 1975, where he then worked as an employee in financial accounting until 1979. From 1979 to 1982 he studied business administration at the Hamburg University of Economics and Politics and completed his studies with a degree in business administration. In January 1983 he became the junior secretary of the horticultural, agricultural and forestry union (GGLF), of which he had been a member since 1972. In July 1983 he became organizational secretary of the GGLF and in March 1989 department head in the main administration of the GGLF. In September 1993 he was finally elected chairman of the GGLF. The GGLF dissolved and joined IG Bau-Steine-Erden ( hereinafter : IG Bauen-Agrar-Umwelt ) on January 1, 1996 , and Wilms became a member of the federal executive committee (Environment, Europe). In March 1999 and October 2002 he was elected Deputy Federal Chairman of IG Bauen-Agrar-Umwelt (Finance, Sustainable Development) and re-elected as Deputy Federal Chairman in October 2005 (Agriculture, Environment, Europe, Finance).

Wilms is a member of the European Economic and Social Committee, Vice President of EFFAT (European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism), he works in the International Union of Food, Farmers, Hotel, Restaurant, Café and Luxury Food Workers' Unions (IUF ) with, is chairman of the association for the promotion of agricultural and forest workers, alternating chairman of the supplementary pension fund and the supplementary pension fund for agricultural workers and member of the executive committee of the International Federation - independent sponsor of youth, social and educational work eV (IB).

Wilms is married and has three children.
