Hans-Peter Schlagholz

Hans-Peter Schlagholz (born December 15, 1953 in Wolfsberg ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Schlagholz was a member of the Carinthian state parliament from 1994 to 2011 and mayor of Wolfsberg from 2011 to 2020.

Life

Schlagholz has been politically active since 1974 and is SPÖ district manager in Wolfsberg by profession. He has represented the SPÖ in the Wolfsberg municipal council since 1979, where he also holds the position of parliamentary group spokesman. From 1994 he was also a member of the Carinthian state parliament. From July 2008, Schlagholz was the deputy chairman of the SPÖ state parliament club. Schlagholz ran for 12th place in the 2009 state elections on the SPÖ state list and was the top candidate in the SPÖ district list of the Wolfsberg district .

From June 19, 2011 he was mayor of Wolfsberg. In 2020 he was succeeded by Hannes Primus .

Hans-Peter Schlagholz is married and has two children. He lives in Wolfsberg and is Vice President of ASKÖ- Carinthia.
