Hannes Primus

Hannes Primus (born August 1, 1976 ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and IT coordinator at the Wolfsberg State Hospital . From 2013 to 2018 he was a member of the Carinthian state parliament . He has been the mayor of Wolfsberg since 2020 .

Life

education and profession

Primus attended elementary school in Wolfsberg and then switched to the local secondary school. After a year at the commercial academy in Wolfsberg, he continued his education at the Wolfsberg federal high school in the natural sciences, where he also passed the Matura in 1996 . After graduating from high school, Primus did military service between 1996 and 1997 and then began studying telematics / network technology at the Klagenfurt University of Applied Sciences in 1997, which he completed on July 24, 2001 with the academic degree of Diplom-Ingenieur (FH). He then worked from 2001 as a project manager and service manager at T-Systems Austria in Graz and in 2005 switched to S&T Austria GmbH in Graz as project manager. From 2007 to 2009 he was Service Manager Region South at S&T DACH GmbH. Primus has been working as IT coordinator at the LKH Wolfsberg since November 16, 2009 and is KABEG project manager.

Politics and functions

Primus was elected district chairman of the SPÖ-Wolfsberg in November 2012 with 96.7 percent. He is a member of the municipal council of the municipality of Wolfsberg and was presented as number three on the SPÖ state list at the beginning of 2013, and he also ran for third place in the regional electoral district of Carinthia East. Primus was sworn in as a member of the state parliament on March 28, 2013, where he was a member of the committee for finance, housing and communities as well as a member of the committee for hunting, animal welfare, nature, national and biosphere parks.

In 2020 he succeeded Hans-Peter Schlagholz as Mayor of Nach .

Private

Primus is married and has two daughters and a son. He lives in St. Andrä in the Lavantal .
