Hans Ackermann (physicist)

Hans Karl Ackermann (born June 26, 1935 in Ulm ) is a German physicist.

Life

Ackermann studied physics, mathematics and chemistry at the University of Tübingen and graduated in 1966 with a doctorate in physics. From 1966 to 1973 he was a research assistant in Heidelberg and completed his habilitation in 1970. He was then a scientific advisor and professor in Heidelberg. In 1978 he followed a call as professor for experimental physics at the University of Marburg . In 2000 he was retired.

One of his main focuses is solar energy technology. In 1986 he founded the interdisciplinary seminar on environmental research at the University of Marburg.

  • 2011: Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Federal Republic of Germany
  • 2012: Eduard Bernhard Prize of the BUND Hessen
