Hans Albrecht von Gemmingen (* 1624 ; † July 27, 1685 ) was the landlord in Widdern , Maienfels and Leibenstadt .

Life

He was a son of Hans Conrad von Gemmingen († 1632) from his second marriage to Sibylla Maria von Helmstatt (1586–1663). When the father died, all of the children who had survived were still minors and were placed under guardianship. Hans Albrecht joined the imperial military and became an officer in Sponeck's regiment. When the Imperial Army moved into Neckarsulm with its headquarters in 1644 , Hans Albrecht's guardian Weiprecht von Gemmingen asked for his release. Since Hans Albrecht was still young, he had another year to serve. When he married in 1646, his wife brought the inheritance right to the Dottenheimer fief in Schüpfergrund with her through her mother's inheritance . Hans Albrecht himself had inherited the Gemmingen property in Aries. His brother Philipp Christoph (1621–1660) inherited Maienfels, but died without heirs, so that Maienfels also returned to Hans Albrecht. He and his wife are buried in rams.

family

He was married to Anna Kunigunde Senft von Sulburg (1629–1676) and belongs to the branch Widdern-Maienfels within the 1st branch (Bürg) in the III. Line (Neckarzimmern / Bürg) of the barons of Gemmingen . The son Friedrich inherited Maienfels, the son Johann Reinhard inherited Aries. Both sons entered marriages with the daughters of Achilles Christoph von Gemmingen from the Bürg-Presteneck branch .
