Leibenstadt is a district of Adelsheim in the Neckar-Odenwald district in Baden-Württemberg with about 370 inhabitants.

Leibenstadt is located south of Adelsheim. The Dollishof desert is located in the district of Leibenstadt.

history

The former knightly village of Leibenstadt was first mentioned in 1293. The Dollishof settlement, which was dissolved at the time, was also located in the area until 1880 .

Leibenstadt came to Baden in 1806 and belonged to the Osterburken office , from 1828 to the Adelsheim district office and from 1939 to the Buchen district . On November 1, 1971, the previously independent community of Leibenstadt was incorporated into Adelsheim.
