Hans Andreas Limi (born September 26, 1960 in Porsgrunn ) is a Norwegian politician of the right-wing Fremskrittspartiet (FrP). He has been a member of parliament in Storting since 2013 .

Life

After finishing school in 1979 at the Telemark Commercial High School, Limi worked until 2013 as a banker and manager of his own company. At the Fremskrittspartiet he was general secretary from 1988 to 1994. From 1983 to 1987 he was a member of the local parliament of Skien , in 1991 he was part of the Oslo city government ( Byråd ), where he was responsible for finances. From 1995 to 1999 and again from 2011 to 2015 he was also a member of the local parliament of Bærum .

Limi entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2013 general election . There he represents the constituency of Akershus and he was initially a member of the finance committee. After the 2017 election , he moved to the Foreign and Defense Committee. He returned to the Finance Committee in January 2020. Limi was a member of the parliamentary committee of the FrP group in his first legislative period; after the Storting election in 2017, he took over the position of parliamentary group chairman in October, which he held until January 2020, when party leader Siv Jensen took over the post again after the FrP left government .
