Hans Bartel

Hans Bartel (born February 3, 1918 in Gotha , † November 1, 1970 in Görmitz ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and architect .

After attending secondary school , Bartel passed his matriculation examination in 1937. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Danzig and the Technical University of Hanover . He passed his main diploma examination in Hanover in 1941 and then went into military service. During the war he became a British prisoner of war , from which he was released in 1946. From 1947 Bartel was a freelance architect in Bad Pyrmont . Here he was a member of the council of the city of Bad Pyrmont and later district administrator of the Hameln-Pyrmont district .

During the 4th to 7th electoral period from May 6, 1959 to November 1, 1970 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the SPD. He was chairman of the Committee on Construction, Social Services and Housing from July 6, 1967 to June 20, 1970.
