Hans Braselmann

Hans Braselmann (born January 5, 1934 in Berlin ; † April 6, 1992 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Hans Braselmann attended middle school and completed an apprenticeship as a chemical technician in 1953 . In 1956 he graduated as a chemical engineer from the Beuth State Engineering School . From 1962 he worked as a research assistant at the Humboldt University in Berlin . Braselmann later studied at the Technical University of Dresden and became a qualified chemist in 1966 . In 1980 he received his doctorate from Humboldt University as Dr. rer. nat.

In the course of the change in the GDR , Braselmann joined the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 1989 . In the first free East Berlin election in May 1990 , he was elected to the Berlin city council. Even in the joint election to the Berlin House of Representatives in December 1990 , he was able to win the direct mandate in constituency 6 in the Lichtenberg district . But one and a half years later Braselmann died and his successor in parliament was then the Senator for Family and Youth Thomas Krüger .
