Hans Feher , in the USA: John Anthony Feher (born September 14, 1922 as Johannes Weiß in Vienna ; † April 1, 1958 in Los Angeles , United States ) was an Austro-American actor .

Life

The son of the actor and director Friedrich Feher and his wife Magda Sonja was brought in front of the camera by his parents for the first time at the age of eight at the beginning of the sound film era. During the thirties, Hans Feher only played in his father's productions in his short screen career.

In the soulful melodrama Your Boy he embodied the title hero, for whom his mother (played by Feher's actual mother) tries to sacrifice herself and yet fails due to the adverse circumstances. In Haunted People , Like Your Boy, a German-Czech co-production, Feher was the son of a southern French master carpenter who was wrongly convicted of murder. And in the robber symphony , Hans Feher convinced as the young musician Giannino roaming the country, who is supposed to take care of a drum piano and in the process outwits a gang of robbers.

Feher followed his parents into exile in 1933, first to England, then, in July 1937, to the USA. There he called himself John Anthony Feher. He was naturalized on November 22, 1946. Feher, who last lived in the film metropolis of Los Angeles, did not appear in front of the camera. What profession he pursued as an adult is just as unknown as the reason for his untimely death at the age of only 35.
