Hans Fender ( 1854 in Berlin - March 9, 1926 there ) was a German theater actor .

Life

Fender began his stage career in 1874 at the Stadttheater Ploen and then worked on several smaller stages. In 1878 he got an engagement at the Vorstädtschen Theater (Berlin) and was able to switch to the national theater there the following year . Further stations were 1880 in Göttingen, 1881 Bremerhaven, 1882 Mühlhausen, 1883 Halle, 1884 to 1885 Königsberg, 1886 to 1887 Stettin, 1888 Zurich, 1880 Elberfeld, 1890 to 1892 Nuremberg, 1893 Bremen, served in Mannheim from 1894 to 1896, in 1899 in Halle, 1900 in Wiesbaden and then joined the Association of City Theater in Riga.

He was an old-school character comedian, and his broad, highly pointed humor garnered rave reviews from his admirers. He also did not fail to give his roles a comical finish, which does not fail to have an impact on this particular artist - on the whole a meritorious actor who had many splendid achievements in the classical as well as in the bourgeois piece. Especially in the comedies of Roderich Benedix and Gustav von Moser he was excellent and well received. His artistic life after 1902 is unknown.

Fender was married to the actress and singer Marie Fender-Unger .
