Hans Georg Nenning (born February 20, 1946 in Graz ) is an Austrian actor, author and director.

Live and act

Hans Georg Nenning grew up in an academic family. The mother Edith, born Kainer, was a psychologist, the father Günther Nenning a journalist. In 1959 the family moved to Vienna. Hans Georg Nenning was a student at Wasagymnasium until 1966, after which he attended the graphic teaching and research institute for two years. In 1968 he did his military service in the Austrian army. In 1969 he decided to become an actor and entered the Max Reinhardt Seminar . In 1971 he made his debut as an apprentice at the Burgtheater in Vienna . Engagements in the Theater der Komödianten, Stadttheater Ulm, Volkstheater, Theater in der Josefstadt and the Stadttheater Salzburg followed.

Hans Georg Nenning has appeared in numerous film and television productions. For the series Eurocops he wrote the episode Transit to Death and also played a leading role in it. In 2000 he starred in the miniseries Band of Brothers, directed by David Frankel .

As a film director, he made his first short film Dusk in Paris in 2007 . This was nominated for the official selection of the ÉCU The European Independent Film Festival 2008 in the category Best European Dramatic Short. Four more nominations followed at international festivals in Athens, Toronto and the UK. In 2013 Dusk was selected for the platform “The European Independent Film Channel Screening the world's best independent films”.
