Hans Heinz von Wangenheim

Hans Heinz Freiherr von Wangenheim (born June 30, 1889 in Berlin ; † August 7, 1981 in Wiesbaden ) was a German administrative officer and judge.

origin

His parents were Ernst Friedrich Ulrich Alexander Hans von Wangenheim (* July 8, 1859 - October 25, 1915) and his first wife Lucie Ahrenfeld (* April 25, 1861). His father died as an imperial German ambassador in Constantinople. His parents got divorced in 1897. His mother then married Count Uxkull-Gyllenband, his father the baroness Johanna von Spitzemberg (born June 21, 1877).

Life

Hans Heinz von Wangenheim studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel . In 1908 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . In 1912 he began the legal clerkship. After participating in the First World War as a soldier, he became a government assessor and unskilled worker for the district administrator in Linden in 1920 . In 1921 he switched to the government in Hanover . In 1922 he was promoted to government councilor and worked for the Central Association of Christian Trade Unions in Germany, the German Cooperative Association and then the Central Association of Christian Transport and Factory Workers. In the same year he was entrusted with the provisional district administration in Jauer . In 1923 he became district administrator of the district Jawor . In 1927 he moved to the government in Wiesbaden as a senior councilor . In 1940 he was appointed government director at the Reichsstatthalter in Salzburg and in 1941 at the government in Erfurt . In 1942 he was promoted to government director. After the end of the Second World War , he was assigned to the reopened Higher Administrative Court of Jena in 1946 as an assistant judge in the Soviet Zone . Later he lived as a senior administrative judge a. D. back in Wiesbaden.

Wangenheim married on November 7, 1916 Elisabeth Klara Marie von Richter (* August 5, 1893), a daughter of the lawyer and politician Ernst von Richter . The couple had several children including:

  • Ernst Viktor Hubertus (born November 3, 1918)
