Hans Hilmar Goebel

Hans Hilmar Goebel (born May 27, 1937 in Breslau ) is a German neuropathologist.

Life

Goebel began to study medicine in 1956 at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen . He became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Bonn (1956) and Starkenburgia (1957). As an inactive , he moved to the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the Free University of Berlin . After the state examination, the FU graduated in 1963 as Dr. med. From 1963 to 1965 he was a medical assistant in Bonn and Cologne. He began training as a pathologist in 1966 at the FU. The neuropathology , he focused on New York University Medical Center (1968) and at the Indiana University Bloomington (1970). In 1973 he returned to Germany. He completed his habilitation in 1976 as a senior assistant in pathology at the Georg August University of Göttingen . In 1981 he was appointed associate professor . In 1983 he followed the call of Johannes Gutenberg University to its chair in neuropathology. In 2005 he retired .
