Hans Hollerweger

Hans Hollerweger (born February 13, 1930 in St. Georgen im Attergau ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic theologian.

Life

He studied theology in Linz and was ordained a priest in 1954. After studying at the scientific department of the German Liturgical Institute , he was in 1966 by the Faculty of Theology of the University of Salzburg to the doctor of theology doctorate . Since 1967 he has taught liturgical science at the Catholic Private University in Linz . After his habilitation in 1972 with a study of the history of the liturgy on the “Reform of Divine Service at the Time of Josephinism in Austria” at the Theological Faculty in Graz , he became a full professor in 1972 . He retired in 1996 .
