Hans Jürgen Witthöft

Hans Jürgen Witthöft (born July 26, 1941 in Celle ) is a German journalist and author in the field of shipping .

From 1959 to 1965 he was a member of the German Navy . Afterwards initially involved in public relations, he was editor-in-chief of the specialist journal Schiff & Hafen from 1979 to 2005 . He was responsible for the New Ships newsletter and is the editor of the Marine Forum . Since 1995 he has published the yearbook Köhler's fleet calendar. He has written numerous books and magazine articles on maritime topics and also publishes in his own publishing house, ProMar .
