Hans Kracke

Hans Kracke (born July 13, 1910 in Frankfurt am Main , † 1989 ) was a German musician and composer .

Life

Hans Kracke studied musicology, German and pedagogy as well as piano, composition, conducting and music education. This was followed by successful years as a conductor and choir director, for example in Frankfurt am Main, Düsseldorf, Graz and Wilhelmshaven. From 1945 he initially worked as a lecturer at the Musikhochschule in Karlsruhe, then he taught as a lecturer at the Academy for Music in Darmstadt. Here he taught piano, theory / composition. In addition, he has given concerts as a soloist (pianist and accompanist) and as a conductor as well as an interpreter of his own compositional work. Choral music played a very special role here. From 1963 Kracke was again as a lecturer in Frankfurt am Main at the Dr. Hoch'schen Conservatory as well as at the school for choir directors.
