Hans Kammeier

Hans Kammeier (born April 24, 1902 in Essen , † March 9, 1973 in Bangkok ) was a German musician and composer .

Life

Hans Kammeier studied music in Freiburg and Munich, including Professors Gurlitt, Gschrey and Courvoisier. From 1929 he worked as a freelancer in Berlin. Later he took up a job as a speaker for chamber music at the Reichssender Berlin. After the Second World War he worked as a freelancer again, this time in Gauting near Munich. In addition, he dealt extensively with sacred music. As a freelancer at Bayerischer Rundfunk, he was responsible for radio plays, choir, chamber and folk music. Kammeier also worked on choral cantatas for the RIAS chamber choir and in opera performances and was responsible for broadcasts such as “Dichter im Lied” and “Volkslied und Kunstlied”.
