Hans Krutzler

Hans Krutzler (born December 28, 1913 in Riedlingsdorf ; † August 25, 1991 in Großpetersdorf ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and principal school director. Krutzler was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from 1964 to 1981 and its third president from 1972 to 1981.

Krutzer was born as the son of the bricklayer Josef Krutzler from Riedlingsdorf, his father died in 1918 in the First World War. After primary school in Riedlingsdorf, he attended the secondary school in Pinkafeld and then switched to the Oberschützen teacher training institute , which he completed in 1933 with the Matura. Professionally, he worked as a teacher in southern Burgenland, acquired a teaching qualification for elementary schools in 1936 and was also involved in the Fatherland Front . After the National Socialists came to power, Krutzler was briefly arrested in 1938 for political reasons, and between 1939 and 1945 he served in the Wehrmacht .

After the end of the Second World War, Krutzler worked as a teacher in Großpetersdorf from 1945. He became a member of the SPÖ and in 1949 took over the post of principal school director in Großpetersdorf, where in 1948 he had acquired the teaching qualification for secondary schools in the subjects of German, history and geography. He was also mayor of Großpetersdorf between 1954 and 1982 and represented the SPÖ in the Burgenland state parliament from May 26, 1964 to December 31, 1981. He was also the executive chairman of the SPÖ state parliament club from 1972 to 1975, and from November 6, 1975 to December 31, 1981, the third president of the state parliament. In 1965 he was appointed high school councilor.
