Hans Lehr (architect)

Hans Lehr († after 1943) was a German architect .

Lehr was active in Nuremberg from 1912 at the latest and was appointed as a member of the Association of German Architects (BDA). Together with Karl Leubert , he ran the architecture office Lehr und Leubert , from which the planning of the Loher Moos estate and most of the plans for the historical area of ​​the garden city in Nuremberg emerged .

At the end of the 1920s, Lehr and Leubert took part in the competition to redesign the Platz der Republik in Berlin. The jury's verdict on their design included: “In terms of urban planning, the author is based on the idea of ​​converting the now existing east-west axis of the Platz der Republik into a north-south axis. He achieves this by inserting a new square into the existing square design that opens up on the side of the zoo in the axis of Siegesallee ... "
