Hans Lemp

Hans Lemp (born December 11, 1928 in Vechta ; † July 8, 2014 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Lemp did Reich labor service and service in the Wehrmacht in 1944/45 . After the end of the Second World War , he was drafted as a telephone operator and assistant interpreter by the British military government until 1948 . He completed training in forestry and finance from 1949 to 1953, initially working as a tax assistant and later as an official in the financial administration. In 1961 he became sales manager of a company that produced animal feed and poultry.

Political party

Lemp had been a member of the SPD since 1956.

MP

Lemp was from 1964 to 1981 council member of the city of Vechta and from 1968 to 1975 member of the district council of the Vechta district . He was a member of the German Bundestag from November 29, 1967, when he replaced the late MP Günter Frede , until 1980. He was always drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list. He was also a member of the European Parliament from 1977 to 1979 .
