Hans Leonhard Brenner

Hans Leonhard Brenner (born August 5, 1943 in Bad Godesberg ) is a German actuary and local researcher. He lives in Bergisch Gladbach .

Life

From 1965 to 1987 Hans Leonhard Brenner worked for a large life insurance company. For health reasons, he had to take early retirement in October 1987. He has been married since 1969 and has one son. In 1989 he became a member of the Bergisches Geschichtsverein Rhein-Berg eV (BGV Rhein-Berg). From 1991 to 1996 he headed this association as 1st chairman, but also had to resign in June 1996 for health reasons. He was then appointed honorary chairman.

The BGV Rhein-Berg owes him many new initiatives: In 1994, with issue 1, he started the annual association magazine Heimat between Sülz and Dhünn, History and Folklore in Bergisch Gladbach, which he filled with over 25 articles of his own over the years. He also published numerous articles in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Calendar and Romerike Berge, Zeitschrift für das Bergisches Land series. Finally, he gave the impetus for the publication of meanwhile 60 books in the publication series of the BGV Rhein-Berg with a predominantly scientific background.
