Hans Ludwig Bishop

Hans Ludwig Bischof (born June 29, 1930 - July 15, 2010 ) was a German physician.

Life

Bischof received his doctorate in 1954 from the University of Munich . Afterwards he started to work in the psychiatry of the district of Upper Bavaria. From 1983 to 1995 he was Medical Director of the Gabersee District Hospital (today: Inn-Salzach-Klinikum) . Under his leadership, the range of therapies was expanded and the facility developed from a custodial institution to a psychiatric hospital for the treatment of various clinical pictures.

After his habilitation, Bishop was appointed adjunct professor at the University of Munich in 1994 by the Bavarian Minister of Education, Hans Zehetmair . The focus of his research and teaching activities was in the field of forensic psychiatry.
