Hans Meurer

Hans Meurer (born September 15, 1952 ) is a German historian and adult educator .

Life

Meurer was born in 1952 as the son of Liselotte and Heinrich Meurer. After graduating from Eichendorff-Gymnasium in Koblenz , he studied history, political science and philosophy in Marburg . He completed further studies with degrees in education and psychology. His main areas of focus developed during his studies: extracurricular youth work , adult education and ancient history . In addition to his professional commitment as a personnel manager, he has been following the traces of demons and mythical creatures in the cultural history of the West as a myth researcher for more than 30 years .

Meurer is married and has a daughter.

Career

Meurer's main occupation is human resources development. He received his doctorate on a topic in adult education to Ph.D. Meurer is a lecturer at the Worms University of Applied Sciences with a focus on retail psychology. His career began in a large corporate law firm in Frankfurt and took a detour to the USA to his own children's home and seminar house until he switched to business. As part of the conceptual work, training programs were developed together with City University, which also earned him an associate professorship.

social commitment

Meurer is chairman of the board of the NRW foundation . He was an ambassador for the 2006 World Cup for people with disabilities and in 2009 received the All-Together Award from Lebenshilfe NRW.
