Hans Schulze (water polo player)

Hans Schulze (born August 25, 1911 in Magdeburg , † January 26, 1992 in Wuppertal ) was a German water polo player .

Schulze made his debut in the German national water polo team at the European Championship in 1931 when he won the silver medal with the team. In the following years he was also one of the squad at the Olympic Games in 1932 and 1936 and at the European Championships in 1934 and 1938, where he won silver with the German team behind the Hungarians. In total, Hans Schulze played in over 100 international matches for Germany, eleven of them at the Olympic Games. Even at the Olympic Games in 1952 he was available as a substitute. In 1956 and 1960 Schulze then looked after the German team as a coach at the Olympic Games.

In the club, Schulze first played at the Magdeburg swimming club from 1896 and later at SV Ludwigsburg 08 .
