The living / studio building Hansastraße 3 is in the district Bettrath-Hoven in Mönchengladbach ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ).
The building was built in 1836. It was entered under No. H 048 on August 30, 1988 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
The former school building is a three-part brick building facing the eaves , which was built in three phases. The oldest building section is the five-axis central wing (Hansastraße 3), which was built in 1836 as a single-storey school building. In 1879 a second storey was built , set off by a cornice . The school was later expanded with the buildings at Hansastrasse 5 (1858) and Hansastrasse 1 (1867).
Rural elementary school building from the 19th century in a simple design characteristic of the time it was built, which reflects the history of the place with its structural expansion. Protection is therefore in the public interest.
