Hanse cans are large bulbous, lidded cans of tin for beer or wine . They were mainly in the 14th and 15th centuries among wealthy households of Hanse space in use, but learned through extended trade relations between the Hanseatic merchants also more widespread. Hanse jugs made of tin were part of the representative tableware of wealthy households, but their value was clearly below the more valuable sumptuous tableware made of silver .
