The Hansen Rocks are a group of five rocky islands off the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . They are located 1.5 km northeast of the Sawert Rocks immediately north of Holme Bay .
The Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) took aerial photographs for their mapping. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named her after Bent Thygesen Hansen (1930-2016), captain of the ship Nella Dan in the ANARE campaigns of 1968, 1969, 1970 and 1972.
