Harald Dickerhof

Harald Dickerhof (born November 6, 1941 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse , † September 9, 2010 ) was a German historian .

Harald Dickerhof studied history and English in Munich . In 1967 he received his doctorate in Munich. There he also completed his habilitation in 1973. From 1977 until his retirement in 2009 he was Professor of Medieval History at the University of Eichstätt . His main research interests were the political theories of the Middle Ages, historiography and the history of education . Dickerhof dealt intensively with the interactions between schools of all kinds and universities and academic educational institutions.
