Harald Eller

Harald "Harro" Eller (* 1956 in Remscheid ) is a German jazz and classical musician (double bass, guitar, electric bass, daxophone ).

Eller received musical training from the age of 7. Between 1975 and 1983 he completed classical guitar studies from 1975 to 1983 in Wuppertal with Dieter Kreidler. This was followed by a long and varied concert career with tours in the Netherlands and Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, France, Colombia and Peru. In 1989 he was part of the rock band Grobschnitt as a bass player , accompanied Till & Obel ( Nobody Can Do Us ) and recorded several albums with Tom Mega . In the field of jazz he worked with Wolfgang Schmidtke , Steve Lacy , Alexander von Schlippenbach (CD Monk's Mood ), Horace Parlan , Markus Stockhausen , Hans Reichel , Frank Wunsch , Jasper van't Hof , Roger Cicero , Jack van Poll , Axel Petry and of the Ufermann formation . In the field of classical music he played with the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra under the conductors Stefan Klieme, Georg Hanson and Charles St. Clair. The CD Trouvères was created in 1994 with Nappo Bernatzki and the album Buddy Boldens Blues with Michael Ondaatje .

Since 2006, Eller is also bassist of the Beatles - cover band Meet the Beatles . He has also been active as a theater musician at the Wuppertaler Bühnen and the Bad Hersfeld Festival since 1990 . At the Volmetal music school, he headed the popular music department.
