Harald Rockstuhl

Harald Rockstuhl (* 1957 in Bad Langensalza ) is a German publisher and author of non-fiction books about the history of Thuringia and the Hainich region .

Life

Harald Rockstuhl is the son of Werner Rockstuhl and grew up in Tüngeda . After writing reports and local history articles for various newspapers and magazines from 1974 onwards, various publications appeared in smaller editions from 1982 onwards. His first major publication was in 1986/87 the life's work of the local poet Heinz Keil (1916–1985) from Burgtonna . He began the Hainich homeland research in 1988 with a report on August Giese . In 1990 he founded the Rockstuhl publishing house and published the Hainich homeland booklet. In the same year the collaboration with the non-fiction author Günter Fromm began before the publishing house was expanded to include Thuringian Heimatliteraturversand in the following year.

Rockstuhl is married and has one daughter.
