Harald Stelzer is an Austrian basketball official .

career

Until August 2017, Stelzer was the manager of Swans Gmunden for over 30 years . His tenure included, among other things, the Bundesliga promotion in 1992, the first participation in a European club competition in 1993/94, the Bundesliga relegation in 1995, the return to the "Oberhaus" in 1997, winning the Austrian championship title in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010 as well the cup victories in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012 as well as reaching the sixteenth finals in the ULEB Cup during the 2007/08 season. In 2017 nachrichten.at called Stelzer “the smith of the Gmunden basketball miracle of the noughties and far beyond”.

In August 2017 he handed over the sporting management of the "Swans" to his son Thomas and Richard Poiger , but remained in positions of responsibility by continuing to participate in the hall organization and also taking over the chairmanship of the economic advisory board.
