The Hardy Schmitz Group (spelling HARDY SCHMITZ GRUPPE) is a family-owned, medium-sized group of companies with headquarters in Rheine, North Rhine-Westphalia . The financial and management company of the group is Hardy Schmitz Holding GmbH. The companies specialize in services and wholesale in the field of electrical engineering, cables and wires as well as network technology.

history

The Hardy Schmitz Group has its origins in 1924, when Hardy Schmitz founded his company as an agency and commission business in factory supplies for the textile industry in Rheine. Ten years later, trading in electrical goods was added to the company portfolio and in 1951 the first branch of the Hardy Schmitz company was established in Meppen in the Emsland region . In 1987 a second branch was added in Stadtlohn . After the company joined the DEHA purchasing and marketing association in 1995, another branch was opened in Münster in 1998 and a fourth in Leer in 2000, and a fifth in Rheda-Wiedenbrück in 2007 .

In 1999, the subsidiary Yello Netcom GmbH was founded in Rheine as an Ethernet provider that deals with network architectures, especially in the area of ​​manufacturing industrial networks. In 2003 the logistics center for cables and wires opened in Herzlake with 4500 m² and 15,000 items. In 2007 the sales company Schmitz Kabel GmbH , also with headquarters in Rheine, was founded. In 2007, the Swiss network specialist DDS Netcom AG was integrated into the group.

Products

The Hardy Schmitz Group supplies industrial companies and electrical trade companies with electrical engineering products such as: B. electrotechnical installation materials, industrial electrics, automation and control technology, cables and lines, lighting, data connection, building control, communication and antenna technology as well as electrical building technology and photovoltaics .

Delivery and logistics concepts are designed and implemented for industrial customers, and low-voltage switchgear and control systems are manufactured. Systems - from planning to construction - are implemented for automation, building control and lighting technology. Products and services for use are supplied from the Hardyeco division . At the same time, Schmitz supplies manufacturer-independent electrical components for the various areas of wind turbine production . Schmitz offers e-business customers marketing support through the partner program Tecselect in collaboration with DEHA, as well as the Internet platform Elektrotreff, which equips craft businesses with web modules and websites.

The sister company Yello Netcom GmbH is a network company for automation active in Germany and Austria. Project planning, advice, employee training and the delivery of components. The Swiss network specialist DDS Netcom AG , which belongs to the group, offers Ethernet solutions for the industrial environment as well as communication solutions in the office sector. The third sister company - Schmitz Kabel GmbH - offers cables and wires for a wide variety of applications in craft businesses and in industry.
