The Hargrave Hill is a 950 m high hill on the Davis Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises 3 km northeast of the confluence of the Henson Glacier in the Wright Piedmont Glacier .
Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1955 to 1957 were used to map it. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the mountain on September 23, 1960 after the British-Australian inventor and aviation pioneer Lawrence Hargrave (1850-1915), who began developing the box kite in 1893 .
