The Harlequin Pinscher is a German dog breed that is considered extinct (formerly FCI Group 2, Section 1, Standard No. 210 ).
History and description
It was created around 1880 in Germany as the spotted loft of the Miniature Pinscher . He was considered an extremely affectionate and lovable house dog, as intelligent and friendly. His weight was about 12 kg. The fur was short, the color was piebald or brindle with a white or light basic color.
Because of a predisposition to hereditary diseases , the Harlequin Pinscher was soon rejected by the Pinscher-Schnauzer-Club . His breeding lines have been extinct since 1930. The FCI removed it from their list and it is now considered extinct.
