Harold Frederick Switzer (born January 16, 1925 in Illinois , † April 14, 1967 in Glendale , California ) was an American actor .

Harold Switzer was born the second youngest of four children to Fred and Gladys Switzer. While his two siblings Carl (* August 7, 1927) and Janice Genevieve Switzer (* March 18, 1923) reached adulthood, Switzer's brother, who saw the light of day on May 18, 1922, died after just a few weeks of infancy.

Like his brother Carl, who became famous as alfalfa in the film series Die kleine Trolche , Harold Switzer also starred in 33 films in the series from 1935 to 1940.

Harold Switzer made his living owning a laundromat . He married Beverly Osso, with whom his brother Carl had also had a relationship a few years earlier. The couple had three children. After the divorce in the mid-1960s, he had a brief relationship with another woman who gave birth to his fourth child. On April 14, 1967, Switzer had a heated argument with a customer whom he killed in the process. He then first killed his own girlfriend and then committed suicide . Harold Switzer was 42 years old.
